I think, in the long run, what I'm learning is that I'm not in school anymore. I hired my editor to be honest with me. Because that's the most valuable thing! I didn't hire her to behave as a "yes man" who would fail to give me a perspective other than my own, or "school teacher" who would somehow wield the power of humiliation by scolding me. My work is both A+ and could use improvement!
So, don't worry. I'll open the file when I'm good and ready. And then I'll dive into the decision making process. I'll make some changes, and decide to leave some other things as they were or perhaps rewrite something in a new way.
Actually, this is exciting!
