I recently received a message from this organization and reviewed the links included. Although they are a for profit organization offering services, the articles they suggested seem to be of interest, so I'm publishing their submission here:
"With gun violence on the rise over the years, trying to educate people on the causes is the first step to working towards preventing it. Substance abuse is very closely linked to gun violence, with 68% of substance-related murders occurring with guns.
