I just published my first book. It's about my story (a memoir) as I came to terms with my gender identity. It also includes some of my thoughts on culture and society (and why I'm an optimist!), and some of my predictions for the future.
Most of the book is prose, but there are some poems and a few graphics as well. The photo to the right shows the front cover. If you'd like to have a copy, please see the ordering page. Now that it's published, I am hosting a number of readings / signings in bookstores and other venues. Please see my list of Appearances & Events. |
I plan to publish eBook and audio versions of my book as well. I invite you to stay tuned for announcements on my Product Blog.
While I was still writing and editing, I made a few actual paper copies my the book, as yet ufinished, at the Harvard Book Store, on their book machine.* I did this because I wanted to hold the result in my own hands to help me "get" the reality of this being my book. I recommend doing this to anyone who is writing a book! Print a copy of your book, no matter how little you've written.** It's a great motivator!

* (If you link to their web site, you can scroll down to the video at the bottom of that page to see the actual machine now in use there; the "Paige M. Gutenborg" machine, shown in the photo at the top has now been replaced)
** (if you don't have 40 pages yet, just include enough blank pages to fill out the 40 page minimum. See their web site for more information.)
