Who is Message Rain
Message Rain is a business created and run by Glenn C. Koenig, in Maynard, Massachusetts, USA.
Why are we here?
I am firmly convinced that we are in the process of building a positive future right now and I want to support that process! Making a profit or selling a lot of merchandise is strictly secondary to that, for me. Sure, I want to do this in a financially sound way. But the main idea is to help us all collaborate with each other (rather than fighting or hurting each other). I want to encourage us to build a better life for humanity and the rest of nature on this planet. If you were to say that every human act is either an act of love or a cry for love, I'd say that's probably true. That's why I created the I don't blame you T-shirts and wrote my book, a man wearing a dress.
Where to obtain our products.
Our Books are distributed through bookstores and online book vendors, such as Amazon. See our "Booksellers Information" page for details. On occasion, books are available directly from the author, such as book reading & signing events, trade show booths, etc.
Our other products are sold directly through this web site or occasionally by me or others working with me at various locations. See the "Other Products" page and select individual product categories for details. If you still have any questions, please use the "Contact Us" page at the far right end of the menu bar.

Our "Open Pricing" Policy
Some web sites and merchants try to 'game' you with misleading pricing, hidden shipping fees and other charges that come as a surprise, just before checkout. Suddenly, you're about to pay more than you expected and you're left asking: Do I go ahead and order anyway?
We don't believe in any of that. You should know exactly what things will really cost before you decide to buy anything. So here are our policies:
We design and manufacture as many items as possible locally. Our T-Shirts are printed locally, in Somerville, Massachusetts, and our stickers are printed and cut by a small business in Medford. Of course, providing any product today is a 'work in progress.' For example, it's not practical to print our own books, as we use a print-on-demand service. We'd love to have all our shirts made locally, from organic cotton or hemp. But clearly, not everything can meet this ideal. At least not yet. But we have our eye out for more 'planet friendly' sources and we'll make new products available as we can.
* (some vendors refuse to carry products unless prices end in .95 or .99! So we have had to compromise in some cases.)

- Honest pricing. We don't use prices that end with 9s or 5s. If it's $2.00, we say it's $2.00, not $1.99*
- Know the total price, up front. We list shipping costs and taxes along with each item, so when you check out, there are no surprises
- Easy back out. If you change your mind about anything, you can remove items or cancel your order at any time.

Why the name Message Rain?
The story:
It's almost midnight on a Friday night.
I'm in my car, driving.
It's raining.
I'm headed home from Dance Friday in Brookline.*
I stop at a red light in Brighton.
The street is wet with rain.
I'm thinking about what I want to say that will fit on a button.
Plenty of ideas just seem to come to me, some better than others.
The rain is hitting the car roof.
Drops are running down the windshield.
It's as if the ideas I'm getting for messages are falling from the sky.
Just like the rain.
Right there, I decide.
I'll call it "Message Rain"
